seminar on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Townsend
Hotel in Birmingham. Welcoming special lunch

On Friday, Sept 19, the International
Kids Alliance Network (IKAN) along with
attorney Richard S. Victor of Richard S. Victor,
PLLC and the
Victor Smile Foundation hosted the second in
a series of nationwide children’s book charity
events at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in
Auburn Hills to launch the book “You and Me Make
Three,” which is based on the national parent
education SMILE program, started in Oakland
Country in 1989. During the event, the book’s
publisher, Edna Cucksy (center) of Edco
Publishing Co., presented the 2008 Hermes
Creative Award to (left to right) illustrator
Heather Drescher and co-authors
Richard S. Victor, Wendy Lokken, and Gwendy
Mangiamele. The book deals with the challenges
of divorce and separation. Proceeds from the
launch event will benefit Oakland Schools, the
Oakland Schools Education Foundation, and CARE
House.

book signing and charity benefit raising money
for the Collier County teachers fund of Florida
and the Collier County Education Foundation.
